Montana is one of the states that offers stipends to National Board Certified Teachers. The state provides stipends to all Montana teachers who achieve or renew National Board Certification. Teachers who teach in Montana public schools are eligible for one of two stipends. However, they are not eligible for both. Teachers who hold a valid NB Certificate teaching in high-need schools are eligible for a $2,500 annual stipend, while other teachers in other schools receive $1,000. These stipends are contingent on the district providing a $500 match. Make sure to contact your local teachers association for more information regarding these stipends in your area/school.
